The "Innovations-Zentrum Berlin Management GmbH", IZBM (managing company of innovation and business incubation centres in Berlin) was founded in 1986 as a subsidiary company of the "Wirtschaftsförderung Berlin International GmbH", BBDC (Berlin Business Development Corporation). The primary goal of the IZBM is to develop and manage technology-, innovation- and business incubation centres.

The IZBM is a founding member of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Technologie- und Gründerzentren e.V.", ADT (Association of German Technology and Business Incubation Centres). The ADT as a Federal German association represents the interests of these centres.

The IZBM offers in its locations:

• for start-up entrepreneurs especially from universities, colleges, research institutions and existing companies,
• for new developing companies with innovative projects,
• for established companies with innovative time limited projects,
• for national and international companies with projects in the field of international economic cooperation

a wide spectrum of assistance and support services for foundation, setting up, and development of the company:

• for business planning,
• for all aspects of managing a company,
• for official permits and official registration, especially for international companies,
• for integration of the companies into the efficient information and communication network of the IZBM,
• for mediation of cooperations through the extensive contact network of the IZBM,

• a central reception for visitors and guests;

multifunctional rental space:

• in the Berlin Innovation and Business Incubation Centre (BIG) and the Technology and Innovation Park Berlin (TIB) in Berlin-Wedding, the district of Mitte
• in the Innovation and Incubation Centre (IGZ) and in the International Business Incubator (OWZ) in Berlin-Adlershof, City for Science, Technology and Media located in the district of Treptow-Köpenick.
